The Notebook

Why the stink isn't The Notebook out on DVD yet?

I was sitting back, minding my own business when I glanced to my right and saw my The Notebook movie poster sitting on my floor all innocent-like and it got me to thinking. Why haven't I, during all my shopping adventures, seen this brilliant movie on DVD yet?

So I did some research...

THE NOTEBOOK DOESN'T COME OUT UNTIL FRIGGIN' FEBRUARY 8!

A quick check of my movie stubs (yes, I keep movie stubs...get over it!) revealed that I saw this movie on August 15. The movie had been out since June 25.

Why have they waited so long to put this movie to DVD? I mean, I was in HMV the other day and Surviving Christmas was already out on DVD (and this movie was released in October.) If there is any movie that doesn't need a DVD version, it would be that one.

I mean, the movie is being released right before Valentine's Day, which I guess makes sense (since it is possibly the most beautiful love story I have ever seen on screen.) But still...don't the producers realize that they have killed me a bit each day by not releasing the DVD sooner? Not only is it a fabulous movie, Ryan Gosling is a major hottie and deserves to be projected on the home theatre systems of young females everywhere!

Thank goodness I'm busy over the next little while, so hopefully the days will fly by until I can get my hands on a copy. Until then, I'll keep dying a bit inside...

But I haven't seen the Notebook yet. I know!! I know, I've been meaning to get around to it, but I haven't had time. If it makes you feel better, i plan on buying it before it comes out....

Kyla, I hear ya! Thank you for reminding me though, I was beginning to wonder why I hadn't heard about it being released. I hope I can finish the book before I watch the movie...but If I don't It will still be a great movie...and Ryan Gosling just makes it all worth it.
