A Lovely Stroll Down Memory Lane

When I was...I don't know, maybe 5 years old...there was this AMAZING game that I would play on our ghetto old computer. This game would keep me entertained for hours on end, and I would play it over and over and over and over.

Now as all children do, I grew up and grew out of my game, and technology improved to a point where the game became obsolete...

UNTIL NOW!

I found the greatest site that is dedicated to old computer games, some as old as this one (from 1987!) So you definitely have to check it out and find your old computer game memories, and relive them just as I have this weekend. My game of choice was "Mother Goose Mix-Up" but you can get any of the "Kings Quest" games, "The Incredible Machine", or even "Where In The World Is Carmen Sandiego." Oh, good times, good times.

Check it out!

So to make a long story short, that made my weekend. The opportunity to play the games from my childhood which I thought were gone and buried forever was a special experience.

In other news, I need help coming up with an idea for an 8-minute scene I have to write. It is supposed to have two or three people in it, and there has to be some sort of conflict that is resolved without violence. I wanted to write about something that I know (good writers write about what they know), so if anyone can think of something interesting that has happened when I was around, let me know (ex: I wrote a script about a conversation Lindsay, Nick, Kyle and I had about the differences in milk.)

Don't get me wrong though...I don't want to be limited purely by my personal experience, so if you can think of any good ideas whatsoever, please let me know and I will credit you during my writing process.

Oh, and keep in mind that this scene would have to be filmed in a studio, so nothing crazy and completely unrealistic. We are able to build sets, but c'mon...we're only students. Keep it simple!

Thanks!...and I hope you enjoy your memory trip!

I have a little secret to tell you. I played "Where in the world is Carmen Sandiego" (excuse the spelling) That was my game growing up! Plus there was the "Where in the USA is Carmen Sandiego" That was cool! And of course you can't leave out the infamous "Where in time is Carmen Sandiego"

Yes I did play all of these games. I got pretty good. But I never did catch her. Except in the "time" one. That's the only one I could beat. I was good with history. Never really good geograpically.
