So imagine you are a young, aspiring filmmaker who has been invited to an after-party for the opening of a Canadian film.

You spend hours getting ready, get your makeup done downtown, and dredge through the slush and snow in 3 inch stilletos so you still look fab when you arrive.

You show up at the red carpet for the event, and are ushered through by the bouncer. Your name is on the guest list.

You get your tickets for free drinks. They take your coat, for free.

Then you sit and wait. And wait. And wait.

What are you waiting for?

The celebrities of course...

But they don't show. Something about not feeling up to it, I guess. How embarrassing to the organizers.

Yes my friends, on Tuesday night I was supposed to be hobnobbing with Michael Buble and Emily Blunt (of The Devil Wears Prada fame), but they decided not to show.

I mean, it was no big deal. I spent an amazing night with my friend Amanda, looked hot, and drank free drinks all night. I even got to check out some members of the Canadian film industry.

But still...I really wanted to meet Michael Buble...
