What A Crappy Week!

I feel a severe lack of 'blogpower' (as opposed to willpower) this week. I apologize all the faithful readers (or should I say THE faithful reader) who have/has been eagerly waiting to hear about my life.

My week went downhill starting on Monday. At first Monday was good. Despite the fact that it was the first day of November the sun wash shining and I felt great! I went downtown after class to donate blood, and (despite the fact I don't like blood) the whole process went smoothly. I went to Shoppers to buy some super cheap 50% off Halloween candy, and then hopped on the subway to head home. All was fine until...

...I got on the flippin' bus.

I got to the bus station unfortunately around rush hour time, and was one of the last to get on the bus. All the seats were taken, and there was little to no standing room available. I was stuck balancing my backpack and purse on one arm as not to put pressure on my other arm. Before I knew it, the world was spinning and I had this most intense feeling of 'needing-to-throw-up' than I have ever had in my life. I don't know whether my faintness was related to the amount of people on the bus, the fact that I had just went from the cold outside to the warm inside, the thought that I had the potential to be faint from lack of blood, or a combination of the three. All I remember is feeling like garbage. Just at the moment where I was sure I was going to black out I turned to a girl on the left of me and asked her to inch over a bit so I could sit on the floor. Once I had my head between my knees and got a drink of water I felt so much better, but it took a lot out of me for the rest of the night.

Then on Wednesday my friends and I went for an impromtu walk and didn't leave me enough time to go upstairs and grab my coat. While it wasn't insanely cold outside, it was cold enough to give me a chill and when I went back inside I was shivering and shaking even though it was actually quite warm.

Now, to top off my week, I got my flu shot today. Because it is free in Ontario there was this HUGE line that I had to stand in (when I was supposed to be eating my lunch!) Now my arm is aching and I have a splitting headache and am trying to get through class alive (Editing class = 45 more minutes!)

On the bright side of life, my midterm marks were quite good. My two lowest marks I can justify. In Editing class I used the wrong delete button when doing the first project and totally bombed it! Yes, in editing there is such a thing as the wrong delete button, but unfortunately I didn't know that until after the fact. Even though I did awesome on the next assignment, the first assignment brought my mark down (though I'm sure it'll go up sufficiently for the final.) In English, my teacher has basically taken everything I've ever learned and told me that it was wrong. Really, I shouldn't have to do this English since I got a 4/5 on my AP English exam, but I neglected to opt out and am regretting my decision for every second I have to sit in that forsaken English classroom. I write papers that would get me amazing marks in my AP class but just barely manage to pass in this dumbed-down college class. And my teacher tears apart my writing and everything I am comfortable with in respects to my writing. It infuriates me to no end! I know I am a good...no wait...excellent writer, but my teacher just doesn't seem to get that. I mean, I only got 79% on that essay I wrote about romance novels (and posted two weeks ago) because she didn't like the way I worded some of my sentences. SCREW THAT!!!!!

However, overall my marks are pretty good (average = 88%.) Here is the breakdown:
Editing = 73%
English = 76%
Cinematography = 81%
Humanities = 89%
Sound = 91%
Camera = 96%
Scriptwriting = 96%
Film Theory = 98%

I feel like I am forgetting something, but I need to pay attention to this part in class. Maybe I'll blog more later, maybe I won't. We'll see.
